6 easy steps to a home visit
I understand that some people may find it challenging to travel for their treatment, and that’s perfectly okay! a home visit can be a great solution. Whether you’re unable to visit my clinic in Longfield during the day or you live in a rural area where getting around can be tough, I’m here to help you in the most comfortable way possible. Whatever your situation, my goal is to support you!

Over the phone discussion
Usually I begin to see the best way that I may help you as an individual on the phone. This discussion usually takes around 5 – 15 Mins. I can call you so it won’t cost you a penny.
Face to face visit
If you are still unsure and would like to see me face to face, I am always happy to call round and have an informal chat. Together we arrange a date and time suitable for both of us. One of the advantages of having a home visit it that I am not restricted to the clinics hours. Many appointments are made for early mornings, evenings or over the weekend.
Generally my last appointment is 6.00 pm.
Step 2 - The Visit and Consultation
The first visit will always take longer and I usually allow at least one and half to two hours. Subsequent visits generally last around one hour.
The Consultation Process
You may be surprised just how detailed and in depth some of my questions are. This is because Acupuncture takes an holistic approach, I take a full case history of not just your physical health but the it may also inlcude emotional aspects of your life.
It’s useful to me to hear your lifestyle, sleep patterns, diet, stresses, and anxieties, etc. which affect you and your health. I will also ask about relevant past medical conditions, as well as your medications you are currently on.
Confidentiality
I am a fully registered member of the British Acupuncture Council, and so duty bound by a code of conduct performance and ethics. All of your information you provide to me will be treated as entirly confidential and are not shared with anyone without your prior written consent. They are all kept in line with GDPR regulations.
Step 3 - Pre Treatment
There may be a series of short physical examinations that I need to undertake, some of which you may be familiar with for example having your blood pressure taken. Others you may not be so familiar with: checking specific acupuncture points on the body to see if there is any localised sensitivity: comparing temperature between various areas on the body, or looking at your tongue and take your pulse. This is a diagnosis in Chinese Medicine and is taken on both the left and right wrists.
Step 4 - The Treatment
After I have decided with you what points and therapy you may need, I’ll prepare for your treatment by cleaning and disinfecting my hands.
Once all of the sterile single use disposable needles are inserted and in place, they’re usually in place for between 20 to 30 minutes.
Step 5 - At The End
After you have relaxed for a while I usually reassess the final outcome of the treatment.
If I feel additoinal advice may be beneficial to your health condition or your lifestyle, i may suggest opther options. It might be for you to take it easy for a while after the treatment, avoid alcohol, strenuous exercise, or make sure you eat and drink well.
At the end I tidy up and remove all of the materials that I have used during the treatment and finish.
It’s then time to pay and if required arrange any future visits.
Step 6 - Home Visit Prices
Treatment cost is £75.00 per visit. (standard £60 + £15 fee)
You can pay by cash, cheque or by card I bring my own card reader with me which is 100% secure.
